Department of Literature in Estonian is located in the main building of Tallinn Central Library at Estonia pst 8. Their services include homelending, children’s services and reading room services.
Wheelchair access is available from the Western side of the building (opposite Tallinn English College). Upon arrival please ring the doorbell or call us at 683 0912. It’s recommendable for disabled people to be accompanied by a friend or a relative.

The department has a special room for parents and babies. This room is accessible from our lobby and can be used for feeding your child or for changing their diapers. The room has a comfortable chair, a changing table, a sink and a lidded trash can. The room is free to use for all parents who are in the city center area with their child.
Parking and public transport
The four closest bus stops are all named “Hotell Olümpia”. The following buses travel through these bus stops: 3, 16, 17, 17A, 23, 39, 47 and 54.
Parking is possible in the Stockmann department store parking lot, according to their rates or behind the apartment building on the street – parking zone: KESKLINN.
The mobile library is open to all readers. Collection is about 4000 items. There are recent items in Estonian and in Russian (most of them fiction), and also classical literature, including mandatory literature. It is possible to order books from the reserve stock. All books in the mobile library and its reserve stock can be found from the Online catalogue ESTER.
Tallinn Central Library’s library card applies in the mobile library. We have a lift for people in wheelchair.
