Internet workstations are available in the Department of Literature in Estonian (Estonia pst 8, in the reading room on the 2nd floor), in the Department of Foreign Language Literature (Liivalaia 40) and in all our branch libraries.
The computers are equipped with Open Office or Libre Office software, which are both mostly compatible with MS Office documents. Every branch library has at least one computer with MS Office 2007 or 2010 software. All libraries have at least one computer that is equipped with an ID-card reader.
Booking
You can book a computer in advance via e-mail, phone or at the library. When booking a computer please let us know in advance which features you need (for example ID-card reader, MS Office, scanning). See also: library policy.
Using WiFi network is free for all readers without restrictions on usage time.

The wide screen Samsung S27R650FDU can be lent for in-house use in every department and branch of Tallinn Central Library. The height and inclination of the screen are adjustable and the screen can be moved to the left and to the right. It is also possible to flip the screen into a vertical position. An HDMI cable is available for connecting to a computer, for newer Apple devices there is a separate adapter available. In addition to the screen, it is possible to use a mouse and a keyboard.

Library laptops can be used in-house at the Tallinn Central Library Department of Literature in Estonian, the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages and Paepealse, Sääse, Sõle, Nurmenuku, Pääsküla, Kännukuke, Nõmme and Pelguranna libraries.
Laptops (Skype, MS Teams, Zoom, Libre Office, Cisco Webex and Google Chrome) for distance learning, remote work or connecting with family and friends can be used in-house at all Tallinn Central Library departments and branch libraries.

The power bank ROMOSS sailing 3 can be lent for in-house use at every Tallinn Central Library branch and department. Mobile phones, tablets, MP3-players and other digital devices can be charged with the power bank. The device has two USB ports, the 2.1A port can be used to charge devices with a larger charging capacity, such as tablets. The charging period is around 5 hours. Two devices can be charged at once with the power bank.

Vilde tee 72), Nurmenuku (Ehitajate tee 109a), Nõmme (Raudtee 68), Paepealse (P. Pinna 8), Pelguranna (Kangru 13), Pirita (Metsavahi tee 19), Pääsküla (Pärnu mnt 480a), Sääse (Sõpruse pst 186) and Torupilli (Gonsiori 36) libraries.
